Racing/Performance Driving School (Skip Barber, Bondurant) Questions
My 30th birthday and my Dad's 60th birthday are coming up relatively soon (April/March) and I was thinking about doing a 2 or 3 day racing or performance driving class as we are both obsessed with cars (I wonder where I got it from?).
We are both probably slightly above average drivers meaning we can drive stick and aren't complete idiots and that's about it. I was wondering if anyone has done any of these, has heard anything, has any recommendations, etc... |

If your interest lies in gaining Camaro-Corvette-specific car control experience, Bondurant has several programs to pick from. Spring Mountain in Pahrump NV, as well. Barber's fleet would need to researched...
Canadians looking for Chev-centered experience can try Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (aka Mosport), another track (like Spring Mountain) that features Ron Fellows-approved programs. |

Skip Barber Grad here. They have various performance driving and racing programs. I'm assuming your 60 yr old dad may not be into running their open wheel formula dodge cars. They have a 2 day high performance driving school with various FWD and RWD stick cars and a lot of the best instructors in the country. If you DO want to go full boat racing school they do a 3 day racing school in the Miata that will give you a competition license when you're done. Its intense but awesome.
I did the 3 day Formula Dodge school about 11 years ago when I had dreams of being a pro. Never got anywhere, but I can tell you Skip Barber is the best by far way to go, you will get your money's worth and then some.
