Hello from NC!!
Well I've been looking around on here for a couple weeks... I'm wanting to get a 5thGen SS. I have a basic modded 08 Charger Srt8 that i love but I have always wanted a Camaro. I have looked at several used 5thGen's in my area and I'm 95% sure I'm going to trade in my charger for a camaro. Are you guys with the L99 happy with that engine and the performance? My charger is an automatic with the slapstick manual option, which I always use. I know the L99's have he paddle shiffters but to me it doesn't give you that manual feel. I'm torn between L99 and the LS3. Well anyway I am glad to be on this forum and I look forward to talking wih you all.

Welcome to the forum, from SC! I had a 5th gen with the L99 and was very happy (even more so after the tune). Best of luck with your choice. You will love it either way. IMO, I enjoy the "fun" of the manual, but it's nice to just put it in drive too. The tap shift on the A6 is not like a manual obviously, but is fun in its own way =)

Welcome!!
I own a L99 Camaro. Manual transmission is very funny, but automatic with paddle shift is good too!! The problem of L99 is the "Active Fuel Management". Very easy to change with a good engine and gearbox tuning!!! Mine is tuned and now my Camaro behaves like a real muscle car, even if it's an automatic!!

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
![]() oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Welcome to Camaro5! I have the L99 also. Like Autobot33 said, the L99 is great. The AFM is the only thing I don't care for. Once my bumper to bumper expires I will tune it out.
