Anyone Owned A Viper?
If you've owned a Viper, how does your SS compare? Really curious. I've been flirting with the idea of picking one up

What year are you looking at getting? There is vast performance differences from the older gens to the newer ones. All I can say for sure though is that there is nothing to compare from my experiences with a 2009. If your going to play hard with it you better know what your doing or the viper will bite you. They can be a handful.

Honestly, my Camaro is just a marketing machine. It's good for business
A Viper, well, that could be even better.I will never race it in any capacity. I'm looking at Gen 2 or newer. There are very decent used ones under $40,000 - very tempting!!! And by all accounts the engine is literally and utterly bullet proof. AC apparently is not great. I'm just wondering if it would be absurd to drive this 3-6 days a week. It won't quite be a daily driver... Honestly, I'm not too worried about dealing with the clutch in traffic. MY SS's clutch is pretty cantankerous already, ha, and I'm so used to it now. If anything, I imagine the Viper's clutch would be better

I couldn't live with one as a semi-daily driver. My ZL1 on the other hand I could easily drive everyday if I had to. I would take a C6 Vette over a Viper if I wasn't concerned with the "Wow" factor or performance. It would be much easier to live with day in and day out.

had a 96, loved it, crude and fast, ride is harsh, but did I say it was FAST.... Would love to pick up another. Watch the intake gaskets, they tend to get sucked into the runners causing intake leaks....

I had a 2009 for about 90 days. It was extremely fun for a while, then it got very old. My girlfriend hated the car after a day and I got to the point where I never drove it. The z06 is a much more livable daily car. The new ones seem to be much better though.

What is your business? I would definitely prefer a C6 or a v6 F-Type (SEXY). My SS came from Performance Toyota just north of your hood

I should have gotten you to do my Senior Pictures. I think the C6 Z06 would be your best bet. Maybe a 911 or if you can find one, a Panoz Esperante

Apex Paul has one. If I don't buy a C7 I will probably pick up a late 90s Viper GTS. They are a totally different experience than a Camaro. What year are you thinking about?

Dude, that is a no-brainer! C7 100%! The only vipers I would take over a c7 are an ACR or one of the new ones. The ACR is everything I hated about the viper times 100, but it's everything I loved about the viper times 1,000. It is the darth vader of automobiles.
