Cadillac CTS Vsport laps Nurburgring in 8:14.10

Not bad. For comparison, that's only 1 second behind the E60 M5.

Nothing like going 15 seconds in the wrong direction from the current V.

Nothing like completely missing the point.

Vsport =/= V-series. CTS-V is still on the way.

This is the Vsport. Its a whole other animal than the V, which will come later. Honestly, the nomenclature is a bit odd, but GM will do what they want.

It follows the same direction as BMW's Msport line, Lexus's F-sport, etc.

Honestly there was waaay too much of a gap between the Sigma-II CTS 3.6L and CTS-V.

Precisely. Solid performance for only 420HP. Priced below its competitors too.

BMW 550i: 445HP, $63,900
Audi S6: 420HP, $73,400
MB E550, 400HP, $61,400
CTS Vsport: 420HP, $59,995

Can't wait to see what the V3 will do!

If a true V is in the works, I can live with this. I was under the impression though, that the CTS-V was going away.

People are paranoid of change due to fearing their v8's will be replaced. Its kind of funny

I would hardly call an engine with 130 less horsepower a replacement for the LSA.
