Car got tagged at work :\ (Update)
So I was on a phone call at work and decided I would walk around the windows to enjoy the view while I talk to get things cleared up. Went to the parking lot where my car is parked to take a quick look at it and as I am on the talking I notice my car has an orange tag on it by security from my building.
Pic attached below isn't that clear, since I took it with my phone from my building, but the area on drivers’ side door is blocked off so no cars are allowed to park there at all, so I ALWAYS park in that same area and always the same way. I park slightly on the line to avoid door dings which I believe is PERFECTLY all right considering it's a blocked off area no one can park in like that.... Just ticked off atm... find it stupid to get tagged for barely parking over the line, probably some idiot with too much time on their hand wanting to tag MY car because there are plenty of cars parked way worse than mine in that same lot, but my car is the only one tagged. I'm going to take a closer pic and of the write up to see what excuse they came up with when I get off work. Vent OVER. UPDATE: (Place of work I blacked out) Okay so I left work and went to the car to take some pics and see what it said. Luckily it was only a warning, but still annoying as hell because I think that's a bunch of BS to call someone on. Truck in front of me also got one too so luckily I wasn't singled out. BUT the one guy (in original pic) ALLLLLL the way at the end parked clearly ONLY in the no park hash zone got NOTHING! WTF?! left me scratching my head. Guy was clearly parked in hash mark zone since lunch when I noticed and as I left 4:30PM NOTHING! Seems they like to pick and choose, that or they don't care how u park on the back end. I see what you mean...It appears that the truck in front of you and the white truck in the upper left portion of the picture also did the same thing...
Don't make the security guys mad though...your car might end up with more than just a orange tag on it. |

the truck in front of you is parked the same way, did they get tagged?
also it appears the white truck in the left rear of the picture is doing the same thing, hard to tell from the angle, but yeah appears they are over the line also. Then there is that black SUV at the other end of your row who is PARKED on the no parking area, whom I suspect is the reason that security got their panties in a wad over the whole thing.

That truck seems way further over the line then you. Check that one out and maybe fight it? I do this all the time anywhere I go and don't get any tickets.

If you look at the SUV at the end of the row you are parked in, they are actually parked ON that no parking zone....hope they got the tag too.

I wonder if the guy in the suv on the other end of your isle got a tag?
Some people are just d-bags. Or the guards are just idiots. I use to work for a company that had a single row of parking in the middle of the lot. You could pull in from either side. One day the dropout security guard put tags on all of the cars that were facing one way versus the other. |

Am I wrong to think it's okay to park slightly on the line like that to avoid door dings? not like i went half/half in the parking spot.

Did that truck in front of you get one as well? It looks over the line more then yours. Matter of fact that black SUV that is parked opposite end of the row your in is parked on the lines as if it was an available space.
When that happened to me at my place of work I made the security officer take the sticker off. Then told him he will get a bill to remove the adhesive that was left on the window. He quickly stopped harrassing me and he ended up giving me a VIP parking pass so i can park in the special parking that has wide spots for executives. |
