Wheels

The GTS features 20" x 8.5" front and 20" x 9.5" rear “Blade” forged alloy wheels in Satin Graphite

Daytime Running Lamps

The dual function lamp runs as a Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) and a Position Lamp meaning they can be seen at night, at a slightly lower intensity, in conjunction with the headlights.

Super-Flow Performance Spoiler

The GEN-F GTS features the all new HSV Super-flow Performance Spoiler finished in body colour with Pitch Black accenting. This spoiler complements the integrated and aggressive design of the rear fascia.

Interior

The GEN-F GTS receives an all-new premium interior incorporating new seats and fabrics, instrument panel, cluster, gauges, centre console, trims and finishes.

The GTS features:

• Driver Preference Dial
• HSV Performance Seats in Onyx Leather Trim
• 8-way electric adjustment of driver and front passenger seat
• Front seat heaters
• Multifunction, leather wrap sports profile steering wheel with height and reach adjust
• HSV Sports Twin gauges displaying oil pressure and boost pressure
• Centre console GTS I.D. plate
• Leather wrap gear selector
• Alloy faced pedals
• Premium BOSE audio with 9 speakers
• Enhanced Driver Interface (EDI)
• Dual Zone Climate Control

Entertainment

The GTS features an 8" high-resolution, colour touch-screen display along with USB input, Single CD player with hard drive storage and the capability to play MP3 tracks, Full iPod® integration and a 9- Speaker Bose® premium audio system.

Enhanced Bluetooth©

The Bluetooth fitted standard to the GTS is fully integrated so keeping in touch, while on the move, has never been easier.

Driver Environment

Side Blind Zone Alert with Reverse Traffic Alert

The Side Blind Zone Alert system extends driver vision, using ultrasonic waves to detect objects adjacent to the vehicle in the traditional “blind spot” zones. Reverse Traffic Alert intuitively scans rear cross traffic and warns you of any approaching vehicle hazards.

Head Up Display

The Head-Up Display provides the driver with important vehicle information including speedometer, tachometer and lateral G forces, in a safe and convenient way on the windscreen directly in front of them.

Enhanced Driver Interface (EDI)

EDI connects with the vehicle’s on-board computer to constantly stream real-time vehicle dynamics and performance data to the touch screen display.

Passive Entry and Remote Start (Automatic Transmission only)

Passive entry is a keyless access system which lets you lock and unlock the vehicle’s doors without removing the remote from your pocket, briefcase etc.

Vehicles with automatic transmission have remote start which allows the vehicle’s engine to be started from outside the vehicle by using the remote start button found on the remote key.

Automatic Park Assist

The Automatic Park Assist system helps take the guess work out of reversing into tight parking spaces through the use of parking sensors located in the front and rear fascias. The sensors detect the suitability of a parking space, calculate the correct drive path and steer the vehicle into position. All that is left for the driver to do is control the brakes, transmission and clutch (in manual vehicles).

Forward Collision Alert

A camera, located above the rear view mirror, scans the road ahead up to 14 times per second. When a collision is predicted, the driver is alerted with an audible tone and a visible alert in the Head Up Display. Anticipating hard braking, the system applies sufficient brake pressure to close the space between the brake pads and rotors, thus delivering a quicker brake response time.

Lane Departure Warning

Lane Departure Warning alerts the driver to any unintentional lane departures with an audible sound and warning indicator.

Rain Sensing Wipers

Rain Sensing Wipers are a convenience feature in that the windscreen wipers will operate when water is detected on the windscreen without the driver having to manually operate them.

Hill Start Assist/Hill Hold Control

The Hill Start Assist system assists in preventing rollback when taking off, when the vehicle is on an incline or decline (when reversing).

Performance Technologies

Supercharged LSA Engine

The GTS features a 6.2litre Supercharged LSA engine which provides a staggering 430kW of power and 740Nm of torque.

With all this power comes the need for massive amounts of air cooling, which is why the GTS’ design is not only stylish and sophisticated, but also functional with 130,000 square millimetres of air intake frontal surface area. To also assist with this need for cooling, the GEN-F GTS is fitted with a stacked plate engine oil cooler and Water to Air charge intercooler system.

Unique tail shafts cater for the higher torque loads and a new rear differential helps transfer all of that power to the ground.

Torque Vectoring

Torque Vectoring uses the ESC system to detect when the vehicle is starting to understeer, and helps correct it. The system works by transferring torque across the rear axle from the inside wheel to the outside wheel. This is accomplished by braking the inside wheel and adding torque, through increased engine power, to the outside wheel. The result is a “rotational moment”, acting on the body, helping to steer the vehicle through the corner.

Driver Preference Dial

The Driver Preference Dial allows the driver to manipulate the vehicle’s various electronic performance systems according to a range of distinct pre-set modes.

AP Brakes

The GEN-F GTS features a new and improved brake package developed from the latest NASCAR and V8 Supercar technologies, which has not only provided a weight saving, but also improved our brake feel and performance.

The GTS is fitted with forged 6-piston front calipers with 2 piece front and rear rotors with increased diameters.

Continental Tyres

After an extensive evaluation and testing process, in both dry and wet conditions, the HSV Engineering team with the assistance of HSV Test Driver and V8 Supercar Driver, Garth Tander chose Continental as the tyre supplier for the new GEN-F range.

Generation 3 Magnetic Ride Control (MRC)

HSV, in conjunction with Bosch, has been working on the latest iteration of this suspension technology for over two years. Dubbed “Generation 3 MRC”, this feature is standard on the GEN-F GTS.

Generation 3 MRC has 3 independent settings on GTS and now runs dual coil pistons which results in faster response times and greater body control.

Electric Power Steering

Electric Power Steering, with 2 modes, matches steering calibration with ESC settings, providing a new level of “feel” through the steering wheel that can be changed to suit driving preferences.

Launch Control (Manual Transmission only)

Launch Control provides the vehicle with the ability to accelerate, from standstill, at its maximum potential by managing engine torque and wheel-slip ratios.

Competition Mode - Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

Competition Mode ESC is specifically designed to give the driver more freedom under ‘spirited’ driving conditions.

Options

SV Performance forged alloy wheel

20" x 8.5" SV Performance front wheel in Satin Graphite (255/35 R20 tyre). 20" x 9.5" SV Performance rear wheel in Satin Graphite (275/35 R20 tyre).

(Note: ClubSport R8 SV with 4-piston brakes pictured)

Automatic Transmission

6-speed automatic transmission with Active Select specifically calibrated to the LS3 engine power and torque output.

Sunroof

The factory fitted electric sunroof features tilt and slide functions and a block out sunshade.

Temporary Spare Wheel

Full size, 20” temporary spare wheel in gloss black. (Note: Tyre Pressure Monitor is not available on the Temporary Spare Wheel.)

HSV Performance Seats in “Red Hot” Leather Trim

HSV Performance leather seats in “Red Hot” trim, with 8-way electric adjustment on driver and front passenger seats.

HSV Lo-Line Spoiler

An all-new HSV Lo-line spoiler in Satin Graphite is available as an option on GTS.

Safety

Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)

ABS reduces wheel lock under heavy braking situations by momentarily releasing brake pressure at the wheels required. This improves stopping distances on most surfaces, improves braking efficiency and enables better steering in demanding braking conditions.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

Exclusively calibrated by HSV, the GTS’s ESC system monitors steering wheel angle and speed to make turning corners safer. If loss of traction occurs, ESC activates to apply brake pressure to individual wheels and, if necessary, reduces engine power.

Electronic Brake Assist (EBA)

In emergency braking situations, few people apply the required pressure to the brake pedal. EBA activates to optimise brake pressure performance.

DataDots

DataDot DNA Platinum is the ultimate deterrent to both “professional” car thieves and component counterfeiters or supplier overruns. Approximately 10,000 DataDot DNA are applied to each GEN-F vehicle, all of them laser-etched with the unique Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

What the F? Why are the grilles different? The first pic has an awesome looking grille, and the other pics have a sh!tty looking grille identical to a Hyundai.

so you're saying that GM ripped off the ugliest grille known to man from Hyundai, because of different cooling needs?

Or... they could just use the same awesome looking grille and plug up some of the grille holes or open up more holes as needed or make the grille larger or smaller (but keep the same basic shape) like most other car companies do.

Having two completely different looking grilles, one AWESOME looking and one looking like the love-child of Mick Jagger and a dugong, makes no sense at all.
