What happens with the Electronic Parking Brake if there is no power? (dead battery)

The C7 is amazing! I am sure the engineers have this issue covered but I was wondering if anyone knows what happens with the electronic parking brake if there is no electrical power (dead battery). Does it remain engaged? Can you disengage it manually? Can't imagine that it would disengage but just curious if anyone knows. Thanks guys.

I don't know if it's going to be the same, but in BMW there is a place in the trunk where you can insert a tool (from the car toolbox) to release the E-brake in case of dead battery.
