Help on stubborn rim spots

It was a pretty decent day out today (50 degrees). I know that is freezing for you southerners but not so bad up here. Anyway, I decided that I was going to clean my rims inside and out and noticed some spots that were near impossible to get rid of. Does anyone have any suggestions on best way to get these rims gleaming? I'm afraid of going with something like brillow or steal wool due to its abrasiveness.

Adams green wheel cleaner and Adams polish. Do not used steel wool! These rims are clear-coated, and you'll ruin the finish! I have driven mine all winter and they still look factory-fresh even after snow, salt and crud, and that's how I've kept them clean throught 6, 5550 miles of smiles.

Try the link below. It's for Adam's new deep wheel cleaner. Watch the video on how he shows the product at work. Their products are awesome!

Warm to hot water and dawn dish soap about a cap full in a bucket with a micro fiber brush to avoid scratching the rims and just use a bit of elbow grease as needed to remove. It sounds like tar is the culprit? If not successful then try Goo Off and a micro fiber towel as that will work without eating up the finish. I used it to remove the sticky residue after removing my Camaro badges.

The wheels are clear coated, so treat them the same way you treat your paint. Dont put on anything harsh or abrasive that you wouldn't but on the body of the car.

I hate to kick a dead dog but search for some older posts about some members(me included) having problems with our wheels. Some wheels seem to not be painted or coated all that great from the factory. Im not trying to say that this is the problem your having but some of the spots on the wheels at first glance may look like dirt or brake dust. I had 3 of my wheels replaced under waranty but they still dont look perfect but unless you look VERY close, you wont see it. This problem was mainly around the lug holes.

Thanks. The spots I'm having look more to do with something with brake dust. The spots seem to resonate more around the brake caliper area. As for the lug hole issue...I do have that same issue but thought it was normal. I'm following up with that too.
