pullied gt500 vs stock c6zo6

On svtperformance there is a guy in the roadkill section with others saying there 07-09 gt500s pullied can hang with a stock c6z06 I have beat it to death but more people come in claiming they can beat one... with upper pullied and tuned cars probably 530-40 rwp max... its driving me nuts im not sure if all they do is internet race but facts are facts a c6z06 will yank the shit out of one with competant drivers... I would like some people to tell them whats up it would really make my day so there not living in ignorance bliss.

This run is proof that a bone stock z06 can still pull on a 585 rwhp shelby.

THIS IS OUT OF THE STATES! DO NOT STREET RACE! TAKE IT TO YOUR LOCAL RACE TRACK AND BATTLE IT OUT RIGHT AND SAFELY! I DO NOT APPROVE OF STREET RACING! OBEY THE LAWS!

I was thinking the Corvette's better aero dynamics were beginning to be the difference at those high speeds.

Sure was close though.

Thats not the way I saw it. He was pulling on the Vette a little but then had to shift. When he did and was in a different gear the Vette passed him and pulled away. He was still at WOT. Look at the in cabin view of the GT500. The difference was gearing. The Vette was pulling on the GT500 when he was at the top of a gear then when he was at the bottom of a gear the GT500 was at the top of his gear and pulling and then again the roles got reversed. It would really depend on where the finish line would be to declare a winner. Really close race but still the GT500 had WAY more power. This is why C6ZO6's can embarass 5th gens with 550RWHP. C6ZO6's will probably go down as one of the greatest of all time.

As far as the OP's question sure there are probably some 500RWHP 05-09 GT500's that beat a C6ZO6 but I bet allmost anything they beat the driver not the car. Big difference.

I met up with a modded GT500 once. Didn't impress me much, but mine's modded a little bit too, lol.

They stopped production yesterday. End of a era. :flag1:
Hope the new Z06 or whatever they call it can fill it's shoes.

Shit..so the rumors of a 427 Camaro are dead now?

I always thought this wasnt true cause the LT1 will make his way into the 6th Camaro.

No this just means the left over 427's will probably go into the Camaro's for another model or sneaked in to a few Camaro's

Agreed, the car is too heavy and shaped like a brick to take on a Z06. But if possible it would be at the drag strip where it would be driver error. Because I have seen on the Z06 fast list a Z06 get into high 10's. So the car is VERY capable in the right hands, as I am sure the shelby would be. But same driver same day, same conditions the Z06 will win even with less hp 9/10 maybe 10 for 10.

I'd hold onto that Z06! You may have one of the last 427 Corvette generations forever or a long time!
