Production number

Hi all! We just finished all the paperwork at the Chevy dealer here in Green Bay, and my wife and I are now the proud owners of a 2013 IOM Camaro ZL1! It's been a long wait...we ordered it exactly 7 months ago on July 27th, 2012. It will be another wait before we can drive it home because of the snow and ice on the roads.

I see a lot of posts where the poster has the production number of his Camaro. Where do I find my production number? Or do I just make one up?

Pictures coming after we get it home.

Production Number is in the VIN

Well, I figured it out thanx to the internet. The last 6 numbers of the VIN # is the sequence number for the car. In my case 804878 means my ZL1 is the 4,878th Camaro ZL1 produced.

I read somewhere that there were only 1961 ZL1s in the 2012 model year, so it looks like there will be one cubic butt load produced for the 2013 model year.

SSBN625Starr, CONGRATS on the new ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Hey congrats on your purchase! Your username sure struck a chord with me - my hubby served on board the 623 way back in the day

Right under the fuse box you'll have a sticker on yhe engine frame with a bar code.... take a flashlight and you will have the exact date that you car was built on that sticker.
