What's your best car-related Craigslist Find?

Hey guys, just wondering what your best car-related Craigslist find has been? (It doesn't have to be Camaro related either).

Mine has to be these sets of Perelli P Zero takeoffs I picked up for 600 a set. (They still have the little nubbies on them and everything).

1986 Mitsubishi Montero 2 dr, 4WD. Guy replaced head gasket; couldn't get it to run. I bought it for $400, trailered it home. Visual inspection: spark plug wires on in wrong order. Fired right up, A/C works, straight, rust-free body, good interior. Kept it.

We used to call that "shopping at Midnight Auto".

not that I have bought anything, but after reading this I checked local craigslist, and someone was selling either ashen gray or CGM heritage grille for only $200, looks band new. Then again same person is selling stock grille for $125, I cannot even give mine away.

My one and only Craigslist purchase was a set of BF Goodrich all seasons(70 miles) and stock black rims for $400. Not a steal to say the least, but at least I am not driving around in my Pzeros and rims in the winter!

I've purchsed rim/tire sets a number of times for my Camaro, my Silverado, and my Suburban. Generally get a set with new tires four $200-$300 (I've never paid a penny more). Sell my old rims (with the worn out tires) for $100- $150 on CL, meaning that my tires, requiring no mount/ balance, only a jack and some lug wrenching, for $200 or less, every full set. Hell, I work for a major tire manufacturer, and even employee discount pricing can't even come close to imagining to dream of touching those prices I get on CL.

Found my IROC on there. The lady helped her boyfriend finance the purchase of it and when they broke up she kept the car because he hadn't repaid the debt and the title was in her name. Bought it for $1200. Engine was rebuilt. It's an L98, has four wheel disc, and the goofy looking overhead console. Car had been given a quality repaint at some point in its life as well. The lady knew nothing about it. Just wanted what was owed! His loss my WIN!

Guy had pulled a bunch of old parts out of a barn and "thought" they were Camaro parts.

Dash, console, steering wheel ,tilt column and trim from a 69 SS Camaro all hauled home for 25 bucks.

Funny thing was , the ad was up for 4 days before I responded.

I picked up a T56 out of a CTS-V for $150.... Then when I found out how big of a pain in the butt it would be to use it in anything, and how much it would cost to convert it to something usable (using GTO parts), I sold it for... More
