1970s movies

A lot of people say bad films came out of the '70s. I say that the '70s had some of the grittiest, most genre-shaking films made. Films that dared to do things that film makers today would very rarely do were the norm

I'll start with The French Connection

Wasnt born until 82 but Dog Day Afternoon is one of my favorite Bank Heist movies. Right up there with Reservoir Dogs.

That was a good movie. It's been on HBO/Cinemax a few times over the last month or so. I watched it just last night.

Lets not forget Bullitt(I know, 1968) and Gone in 60 Seconds (1974 version)
Every Camaro 5 member should see "Two Lane Blacktop" as a reminder of our rich Chevrolet racing history and heritage.
Great too if you love the GTO Judge.

I was a baby, I liked Bugs Bunny and Tom & Jerry cartoons in the 70's.

I've seen all of those. Bullitt many times. I'm still not entirely sure what that movie was actually about, but with that chase, it doesn't matter.

I'm also one of the few who seems to prefer the original Gone in 60 Seconds (1974). The new one has its moments, but it's too fake and over the top in your face. The original was a lot more real.

Another good 70s road movie if you're into suspense...Duel (1971).

You do know that it's not against the law to watch these movies in 2012, right? I was born in 1971. I'm not sure how the year I was born has anything to do with the quality of films made in the 1970s
