Ford Fiesta ST official for US, 197 HP 1.6 ecoboost

Maybe Chevy will step it up with the Sonic RS.

You're looking for a Sonic SS then, not RS.

Great looking little car...I like it.

I like how Ford say they would be bring "sexy" colors to this car.

I don't know, SS on a Sonic would seem wierd, then again they did put SS on an HHR so...... RS has the suspension and updates except for power.. Another problem is the 21000 (including destination) starting price for the RS, i doubt the ST will be much more than this (Focus ST starts at 24495, incl destination). So, if they come out with a competitive SS, they would have to pretty well kill off the RS altogether and replace it with a more powerful SS for just slightly more $$$$ or just add more power and a slight price bump to the existing RS. Either would be fine with me though, don't care what they call it, just hope they do make it.

Interesting. But i still like the sonic looks overall better than the fiesta. I think ford should have a center exhaust outlet on it as well. Also what motor does Gm have to put in a Sonic SS?

I don't understand the selling point of a "souped up" 197 horse Fiesta. With current incentives, a 305 horsepower Mustang, a proper RWD car with at least as much, maybe more interior room, can be had for about the same money.

I had a V6 Mustang, I won't buy a V6 "muscle" car again. I'd like to get a Focus ST as a DD.

a small hatch has tons of useful room in it, honestly, we used my ex's fiesta more than my mustang to moove stuff around bc the weird sized stuff we could fit easily in it

the base fiesta was a blast to drive with springs and sway bars, i did a few autox events in it, with 2x the power it should be awesome

and the fact it will prob get close to 37mpg hwy while being fun to drive cant hurt
