Just saw this on jalopnik.

All I know is on Forza it's pretty much undriveable at least until you hit 100, the power to weight ratio must just leave tires spinning all day in this car.

Too bad that's just a rendering, and even with the one that is out now, their claimed top speeds are theoretical. Car is all hype until they put the rubber to the road and actually compare it to something or test it independently.

Venom has more horse, high top speed and I'm assuming lighter. How you figure it's gonna get destroyed????

The Hennessey Venom GT has a MUCH better horsepower/weight ratio compared to the Veyron but I've never read or heard of a Venom GT actually performing its advertised claims. Has anyone seen a legit test other than the advertised claims from Hennessey? The Venom GT is a 1200 hp car that only weighs 2700 lbs. It must be difficult to get all the power to ground when accelerating and the car is probably scary (and very dangerous) at speeds over 200 MPH.
The Veyron has multiple tests of hard acceleration and 250+ MPH with no issues at all.

Too bad the only place that actually handle a top speed run is owned by VW who owns Bugatti. Im sure they will let them use it lol.

Agree with this 100%. Plus Hennessey's battered reputation does not help either.

Henessey doesn't put a turbo kit on a LS motor and call it a day like most tuning shops do.. the Venom GT uses the same launch control that Pagani has in the Huayra

That is exactly what it is. A chopped Lotus Exige. The performance is world class but that alone does not warrant the price tag. The engineering and quality of the Veyron is on a whole other level.

Well you can upgrade the GT2 to a 7-speed tranny for only $165k on top of the 1.25M price tag! haha

All jokes aside, i think its a stunning vehicle. Saw the Venom GT at SEMA and have seen it take off, freakin fast! Went on goldRush Rally in June and got the chance to play with a Veyron SS. I have no doubt the Venom GT2 could take down the Veyron.....from a roll. The GT2 is in a class of its own, and not just because of the horsepower. It's designed to be able to put down that type of power. I wouldn't knock the GT2 at all.

Because of Veyron's all wheel drive. That off the line acceleration is stunning. I've been in a "standard" Veyron, and 0-60 in 2.7 seconds is no joke. I couldn't even pull myself forward enough to touch the dash until after 100mph, and I'm not a tubby tubby 2 by 4 can't fit through a bathroom door.
