Palm pre....in-freaking-credible!!

I am on my new pre right now checking out the speed of this phone on the internet and it is REDICULOUSLY FAST!!! This is by far the best phone and fastest phone I have ever used.

I picked mine up 8AM Saturday morning and have been using it non-stop. It blows the iPhone away right off the bat with multi-tasking (I can write an email and listen to Pandora at the same time) and I can copy and paste right now, not 3 years into its lifespan.

Oh, and if you join the Alliant credit union, you can get 25% off your monthly bill.

One more thing, it supports IMAP which means no more pinging your email every 5, 10, 15 min and wasting your battery, now email shows up instantly.

i'm up for an upgrade and a new phone in under a month, i've been looking at the palm-pre, i've heard nothing but good about it (i'm not a huge fan of apple products. but i do love my ipod)
also been looking at the Samsung omnia, looks like a prety awesome phone.

I surf Camaro5 from work on my Motorola Q-m9. Its pretty slow and I want to upgrade soon, maybe to the BB Storm. I also teher the Q to my laptop and the internet is quick, so its the phones hardware that sux. Not the 3g network.

Anyone have a verizon suggestion for an upgrade?

I've been trying to convince my brother to get the Pre so I can play with it. I can't justify swapping my Touch Pro out for the Pre. And I'd likely have to get a more expensive plan than I have currently.

I've got a employee discount already (only 20% but close enough). Not accounting for discounts, taxes, etc I'm paying $60 for 450mins, internet, 300txt. The everything data plan is $70. I know not too much difference but still $10 for junk I don't want/need.
