Brake Dust?

Is the brake dust been bad on any of the rims of this car? It would be great if anyone had pics but comments will do great as well.

Yes. Builds up quickly. Need to keep those wheels clean or they will pit from the brake dust. I suggest putting some wax or something on them to help keep them in good shape and easier to clean.

Yea I might try on my old cars.

The brand new Autozone Duralast CMAX pads have little dust and new patent on the shim that reduces noise.

Probably would solve that problem with the fishing weights glued to the Brembo's too.

Brake Dust

You guys should read all the posts on this subject over at the corvette forums. The general consensus is to get a set of GM ceramic pads(much less dust). Don't know if they are available yet for the Camaro. I just changed them out on my C6. This thing looked like a black dust fogger everytime I drove it. And yes, keep this stuff off your wheels. It will pit the finish if left on there. There are all kinds of long skinny brushes(cheap) out there to keep the insides clean also....

brake dust is definately a high maintenance issue. I am outside every two days or so wiping the brake dust off. The first time i cleaned them i used a wet paper towel and it took forever. Then I realized, if I used a dry papertowel it comes right off.

Every two days or so I will go out with four papertowels and it takes about 3 minutes per wheel.
