Thats the thing I don't drive city all highway, toll roads so there is not too many cars and no traffic. i am heavy footed on the streets though. But mine is a 6.2 Denali that might be why.

That's horrible. My 2004 5.3 single cab Silverado gets 15 MPG city and 22 highway. This is even with 20's on it.
Sounds like you guys are idling way too much or you can't manage the gas pedal correctly.

2012 GMC Sierra Denali, Bone Stock, Engine not yet broken in 6.2 Vortec V8 403 Horsepower. No mods, car is 3 days when bought from dealership with 44 miles on the odo. Gave free full tank at dealership but I think they didn't use 91 octane.

Used to own a 2007 Yukon Denali with the 6.2/6 speed and AWD. On the highway it could do 18-19 MPG, averaged 14-16 MPG and did 12-13 in the city.

Its rated 12 city/ 18 highway and 14 combined if its a 4wd. Plus we are on winter fuel which hurts mpg's. You should be getting in the teens, but that 400hp motor might be too much fun!

Also, how are you calculating. The factory computer lie o meters are rarely right, you have to hand calculate.

E85? that would certainly explain the poor mileage

My '02 Silverado with the 4.8 gets 14 MPG overall, but I drive pretty hard. Have gotten 25 MPG highway. If you are getting 8MPG, you may want to consider trading it for a Guillardo with a trailer package.

Gas mileage has many factors that are associated with it. If you would like me to check your VIN, I can see if there are any programs associated with it.
