Corvette Forums Opinions....

I don't know or care if this is a repost, but when searching through the threads on the corvette forums, i discovered what "some", not all corvette owners think about the 2010 camaro:

im quoting these directly from the site

"Surprisingly enough, saw a red Camaro in route this afternoon while going to my business. Looked ok on the street but still don't think I care for the interior, etc. from pics I've seen."

"I got to look at some Camaro's at the Astros game the other night. Chevy had a line of them displayed. I'd love to have one for my running errands car. I sat in a couple and thought they were comfy to sit it. Doesn't start to compare to my vette but it's a hot car. And, looking at this pictures - yes - it does somewhat resemble a mustang. I think the yellow Camaro's are better looking."

"Sorry, but I believe Government Motors has failed to produce a vehicle with much of a sales future. Once this initial hype time frame is over, the new Mustang appears to once again still be this segments leader and better value. Yes, I know the SS has a huge HP gain over the Mustang, but you have to deal with a let down that a corporation with GM engineering power shouldn't be putting on the road. Too bad. Drop about 300 to 400 pounds, paint the car all at once, and drop that belt-line, and this would be a great car."

"I'm a Chevy guy but the Camaro has been around 42 years. I've had 4 Camaros over the years. 5 years from now you'll wake up realizing you blew a wad of money.

The Challenger would be a better investment. Gone all these years and now back in similar form. heck yeh."

blah blah blah... there were a bunch of other posts calling the camaro interior ugly and that the challenger was a "better investment"...

There were also a lot of good things said about the camaro from these guys
and as a vette owner i personally would choose the camaro over a mustang or a chally any day...

I would usually advise you to post evidence in the form of links or screenshots, but I think that this will turn into a Corvette-Camaro flame war, so I would recommend closing this thread or proceeding with extreme caution. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, and GM is not going to stop making Camaros over 4 comments that you quoted. That hardly weighs against the nearly 15k sold orders that were placed without a single test drive.

u guys need thicker skin. people might not like the camaro, that is just a fact of life. it is a cool as h--l car--probably the best design on the road right now... if some people think it isn't just forget em. get over this stuff, its just taking away from enjoying the car

I have owned 4 Corvettes and my first (new) Camaro. I think the both have there advantages. If I could only have one I would have my Corvette but still think the Camaro is an amazing looking car. But, there is always room for improvement (even on my C6) the interior needs a lot of work.

Been a CF member for over 8 years.....great guys but everyone has an opinion one way or another.

I have owned my Corvette for 11 years and have enjoyed it. I will be getting a Camaro, though. Some Vette owners can be rather snobbish ...I said SOME Vette owners...

Sold my Corvette to buy the Camaro... one thing I hated about it was the attitudes of some, but the great attitudes of everyone else made up for it. Corvette guys are generally cool, but it was surprising how many turned their nose up at me when they learned my C5 had almost 90k miles on it and that I raced it... a lot.

Hang there for a while and you will see it forms into 2 distinct types of owners, those who park them in the garage and let them rot (and wonder in shock when they finally sell it why its no longer worth sticker price because "its a low mile corvette"), and those who drive the shit out of them and enjoy them. Unfortunately that first group is much larger (and why stick vettes with Z51 can sometimes be scarce, or just stick vettes in general) and for some strange reason look at cars as an investment (LOL!).

One thing you can say about the Vette, no otere vehicle has such a huge specific aftermarket, as well 50% of it is the most ridiculous gaudy shit you will ever see on a car.

This Corvette owner loves the Camaro. Some others won't. Some (insert car name here) will hate it others will love it.
