Introducing the New Forum Social Customer Service Team for OnStar

We would like to take a moment and introduce ourselves as the OnStar Customers Assistance Representatives from the OnStar Social Media group. The OnStar Social Media group is responsible for scanning over forums, including this one, in order to provide customer service to those who utilize them. We are looking forward to assisting those with concerns on the site. This would include interacting with the customer in hopes that we can reach some kind of resolution together. We are excited to be a part of this online community and hope that we are able to provide assistance here.

I love OnStar! I always get a friendly person and they have helped me find my way in the dark hills of West Virginia. I don't know how I ever survived without heads-up display and Onstar. The only thing I wish you had was the ability to pull up the maintenance report instantly from the website instead of waiting each month for an email. Also if the maintenance records could be instantly uploaded from the dealer so I didn't have to type it in. Just some thoughts. Keep up the good work.

Corbin, Dave, and Jessica, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.



oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

welcome to camaro5. Quick question though. I do not pay for on star anymore, can my car still be tracked? and if so how can I disable it completely? pulling a fuse?

Hey Corbin, Dave and Jessica.

I find that Onstar is great, but recently they've been "busy" and the automated message says to try again later. This happens almost every first time I try push the button.

austinjames, As a policy, we do not monitor or otherwise track the location of OnStar-equipped cars. If you let your subscription expire or choose to cancel it, your OnStar system will be deactivated and your two way connection will be severed. All services-including Automatic Crash Response and Emergency Services-will be shut off. Your vehicle won't be able to contact us for help, even in a crash.

Mindz, I am sorry about the delays. We have experienced higher volumes due to the Hurricane Sandy currently active on the East coast. Was there something I can assist you with? Send me a message with some information and I will see what I can do. Thanks!
