Scam in progress, Funny!

I was just on Grand rapids, Michigan craigslist and came across this
1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, Runs/drives good - $2200 (Hudsonville)

Really, this might have been believable 25 years ago when people didn't have google or the ability to research anything on the internet Nice try! Sorry I just had to share this, are there really people this dumb out there?

Doing a quick search, looks like there was 36 total cars produced in '62 & '63. If you wanted one, you had to be personally approved by Enzo Ferrari. So yeah, lol

It's a trap!

This is probably one of those "I'm out of the country, so just wire me some "intent money" to secure the car, and I'll ship it to you!" things.

Don't get caught up in the hype!

Yup, was what I was thinking. If you have ever watched "Chasing classic cars" you would see how much a basket case would run, let alone a running car! 2200.00 RIGHT!!!!!! for 1 wheel maybe!

Something like this happened to a guy I was working with last winter. They wanted him to send money until he said he had to come see the car. The deal was suddenly off and they wouldn't answer is calls.

I think he was trying to point out that it doesn't belong in the General Discussion Section. Someone will probably move it to off-topic in case you're looking for it later.

Someone on craiglist offered to deliver a car to my parents even from like 800 miles away. Seemed like a scam then I read craiglist said this is a warning sign of a scam. Any way my folks told him i lived nearby (which I did) and that I would take a look and pick it up for them, he never followed up...I dont see how ads that offer to deliver the car are scams but I sure wouldnt want anyone off craiglist to know where I lived for one...

HAHAH, $2,200.00 for the most expensive car ever.... Last one to sell went for $35 Million. I hope this is a kit car that they are trying to sell.
