Forza Horizon

Anyone else heard of the new Forza game coming out next week, Forza Horizon?

It looks way good for an open world racing game! It's basically similar to Test Drive Unlimited 1 & 2, but with Forza cars, graphics, and physics. The setting takes place in Colorado.

IGN gave it a 9.2 out of 10 in the review. I'm picking it up next Tuesday when it comes out!

Anyone else on here gonna get it?

I'm a bit apprehensive. I am dissappointed that Forza has gone away from a pure motorsports game and gone the "NEED FOR SPEED" route. The graphics I have seen in the trailers and promos also look cartoon-y and cheesy.

I have Forza 1, 2 and 3. I never bought 4, which I am now regretting. I was planning on getting the next in the series but when I started to research the "Horizons" stuff I kinda pulled back.

I'm going to wait it out for an actual player review. Gaming reviews by IGN and gamespot and stuff are so out of touch with reality that I have no idea what the basis is for the ratings anymore.

My next car game will probably by the newest in the GT series for my Vita.

I am not getting it. Played the demo and was very disappointed. It is more arcadey then simulator. For arcade racers I prefer Burnout and Need For Speed. I will be sticking with Forza 4 until 5 comes out.

Maybe I'll pick up Forza 4 just cuz it'll be on the cheap now.

WheelmanSS you definitely need to pick up Forza 4!

I haven't been disappointed with the Forza series so far, so I have no reason to think the game will be a let down. I'll let everyone know what my impressions are of it when I pick it up next week!

It's definitely not going to be a Forza 5 if that's what you guys were expecting.

That being said, I am excited about the open-world environment.

Yea, I been aware of that since the first trailers showed up at E3. They stated awhile ago that they wanted to go in a "different direction", which is kinda sad since Forza was one of the last pure, deep motorsports games out there. Would have like to see them continue to take the high-road and put out another quality product, but what else is new in gaming these days.

never liked circuit racing but since this is open world, i might buy it !

It was NEVER stated that it would be Forza 5. They are expanding the Forza universe into new areas. Don't get me wrong, Forza 1-4 are AWESOME, but why limit yourself to just selling sims? People like open-world racers too. P.S. From what I have heard and seen, this game is unbelievable. It beats NFS hands down.

I have Forza Horizons ordered already. And for everyone who says it's too "arcadey" they need to switch the difficulty settings.

Second, I highly advise getting Forza 4. It's a great game. IMHO, the graphics are the same as Forza 3, though.
