Regional Forum Suggestion

I think the regional forums are too expansive. The Southeast forum covers my state and 8 others. It just seems odd to go to the "local marketplace" only to have the item be 400 miles away. Beyond that it would be nice if there was a way to make 'State' threads stickied or even have their own thread.

I completely understand the reasoning behind keeping everything so condensed but it would be awesome for each state to have it's own sub-forum. Yeah there are 50 states, but most of us have a hard enough time meeting with people down the street much less 3 states over.

I know it may not ever happen but this is only a suggestion. It's hard to put into words what I'm thinking but maybe someone else could build on the idea I have so far?

Thanks

Thats a good idea, however, there's some problems with that.

1. Some states don't have enough events to be able to hold a sub-forum. For example, Alabama doesn't have quite enough activity to fill up a forum. The only reason Florida got it's own sub-forum, is because if you went in the Southeast section, all you would see are Florida events. The other Southeast states couldn't get attention for their events because of us.

2. Space. To have all those sub-forums, it would require a lot more space, instead of just having them in their regional section.

3. The forum would become even more cluttered. Imagine having 50 sub-forums in one section of the forum. Not only would that be hard for the mods to keep track of, but it would be harder for other members to find other events.

Hopefully you see where I'm going with this.

I guess that's what the group function is for. Maybe I should create a Central AL group and leave it at that lol.

I definitely see where you are coming from. The 'Local' marketplace is silly though.

Then again maybe Alabama just sucks for car clubs and such and I should just move to Florida

You're welcome to come here anytime!

Hey but the least you could do is ask Tran. The worst he'll say is "No".
