New 2012 1LT RS M6 IBM Owner!

Hi everyone, I joined the board a while ago but as of this past Monday, 7/2, I am officially a Camaro owner! I've attached some pictures I took when I went to pick the car up. The last picture is me parked at work, the first day with the car. It already made a friend!

Thanks to "newb", a member here on the forums, I was able to redeem a $1k private offer. My final price was $23,850, after the $1k and a $2700 trade-in (MSRP was $29,190). Paid cash.

So far I am loving the car and all the attention it gets. I have been in love with the 5th gens since they debuted, and I've been waiting 2+ years for this

The only issue I've had so far is that the transmission clunks when the clutch is pushed in when shifting out of 1st, but only at low RPMs. It also does it when coming out of 2nd, but not as badly. If I wait longer before I shift, it doesn't do it. I spoke to the dealer today and they said I'll have to bring it in on Monday since their transmission guy wasn't there. I'm hoping they can fix it, but I've seen people on here having similar issues and so far it seems like Dealerships have just shrugged it off.

Anyway, overall I'm having a blast with the car and have no regrets

Very nice. Wish I had been able to get that color for my ride, that or the Cyber Grey.

Looks nice, sorry to hear about the transmission issue. sounds like your dealer is at least going to give it a look. Hope everything works out.

chowland, CONGRATS on the new ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

I have the same car. Just wait till the mod bug hits-- I've upgraded mine to a 2LT almost

IBM is discontinued now so you're lucky you got one!
