I made a comment in another thread, someone requested more pictures of my Bright Purple Metallic Camaro. Realized I just lurk this forum and never actually introduced myself.

I actually don't own a 5th Gen, but I am getting one next year. I already started saving for it, and plan on getting either a leftover 2012 or a 2013 1LS in Summit White. I'm selling my 4th Gen earlier next year to put towards the 5th Gen.

A little about me. My name is Mike, I live in PA, outside of Philadelphia. I'm a Graphic Designer who grew up as a GM guy, have a small collection of fun cars. I have a 1968 Camaro SS, 1998 Camaro, and a 2000 Monte Carlo SS. The Monte Carlo has 185,000 miles on it, the 98 Camaro has 142,000 miles on it (these 3800 engines are beasts) and the 68 I don't know the actual mileage (need to fix that speedo... oops)

I'm a moderator on the MonteCarloForum, I grew up in the W-Body world. Always loved Camaros and got into the F-Body world recently.

TL;DR, here's some pictures of my rides.

The daily drivers

The Monte was honestly my first love of a car, owning since BRAND NEW. I don't think I'll ever get rid of it.

The 98 Camaro, I picked up to keep some mileage off the Monte, and to get very proficient at driving a manual in daily driving aspects. It's a v6, 5spd, T-Top, in the very rare Bright Purple Metallic color.

Day I picked it up:

And the 68. A pretty recent purchase, but I really needed that v8 sound and joy.

Thanks for looking! I'll keep lurking, because I am learning everything possible about the 5th Gens before I even get one.

ChibiBlackSheep, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Absolutely gorgeous - I love BPM. There's a member on my site who has a '97 BPM Camaro -- those cars just look so beautiful in direct sunlight.

It really is a PHENOMENAL color, I just can't seem to capture it with a camera. Most of the time it just turns out blueish when the sun hits it.

It's one of those... you really have to see it in person colors to appreciate it. I get a lot of flack for driving a purple car... but it's worth it. I think it's pretty similar to Plum Crazy.
