signing off for a few days? weeks? months?

Tomorrow morning at 8am I am going in for surgery, for my sinuses, Like all surgerys dealing around the head area there is high risk. I trust my Dr. but still, there is always a risk.

so I am not going to be on. If I am then you know I am ok.

if NOT OH well such is life.

My son also leaves for bootcamp next monday & we have a busy summer a head of us.

You'll be fine. I had the same surgery a couple years ago. The first 2 days SUCK beyond imagination, you will bleed more than you ever thought you could and you'll be puking up blood and you won't be able to sleep. Once you're healed though its the greatest thing I've ever done. I NEVER get colds anymore, I NEVER get stuffed up. Its awesome.

Good luck with the surgery! I hear that the recovery is horrible, but also makes a huge difference. You'll be back to C5 before you know it.

I dont remember even really leaving the pre opt area. lol the Anesthesiologist must of really wanted me to shut up, since he was a Mustang owner lol.

everyone kept telling me I was going to be in pain for a couple days, but right now its just like having a god damn running nose all the time but its mixed with some blood. I have had only two pain pills & those were in the hospital.

LOL I did try to open up a package & got light headed & went to lay down.

so now no working on cars, no riding horses & NO DRAG RACING

My case was a bit different I had damage from inhaling some bad shit at the trade center and getting my nose broken in a fight in 2002 that I never got treated. I had grown some polyps inside my nose (non cancerous) that would swell up anytime I had even an inkling of a cold. So they basically removed all those and opened up the passages and I believe shaved some of the bones down inside a bit as well.

The doc didn't say it was any much different from a normal one. But you bleed a lot and you end up swallowing the blood. Some people are ok with that, but most peoples stomachs can't handle it, so they vomit the blood back up. Once they remove the packing it feels great but you just bleed a lot. It didn't really hurt much I don't recall being in any pain at all, and only took 1 Oxycodone tablet they had prescribed me because I wanted to see what it was like. PS I don't know how people can function on that crap I was trashed out of my mind on it.

The packing they put in me dissolves so I dont have to go get it removed.

the reason why they decided to do the surgery on me is because I work in a environment that i walk in to sub freezing freezers & out in the weather directly after that. I got some really bad headaches that started out in the sinus cavity on the verge they were migraines
