Question Getting a 99 WS6 Trans Am for about $1,500-$2,000?

Well to make it short. Im working on my 68 Nova and i just has the idea of getting a crashed 99 WS6 Trans Am for about $1,500-$2,000 at a auction. My buddy has a lic. to purchase cars there. He thinks thats more ot less what the car will be going for... 150k miles on it. Back end is smashed, front is all complete. Is this a good deal? I can sell that Ram air hood and interior and other stuff like doors (intact) get some $ back and even if i dont used that motor and trans i can sell easily for like $2-2,500 i think. Its a LS1 and a T-56 tranny. How hard will it be to put in my nova? car (trans am) is complete just back end is smashed ( not repairable) so again what do u guys think?

I would love to be able to do that. I am considering doing something similar in my 79 trans am. You will have to get different mounts, drive shaft. Look it up I am sure someone's done it.

Well if all the electronics are intact (ECU, PCM, etc) for the engine/trans I'd go for it. Tear the motor down, send it out to get built up along with the transmission and just go to town. I've got a '00 T/A and it's a blast, really punches at high RPMs.

Also, if you do.. I'd so take that WS6 factory hood and Airbox assembly off your hands.. <_<

Unless you have a lot of time and a lot of discretionary income stay away.
