Tonight I became a first-time Camaro owner.

Well after weeks of research, I finally got the car I wanted and the price I wanted. About $3,500 under MSRP. One of those end of the month deals. I couldn't be happier. Had to drive about 50 miles south of where I live to get it, but that's ok, it made the ride home all the more sweeter.

Midlife crisis car? Probably, but I freakin' love it. I also love the fact that the wife's alimony helps pay for it every month. That's what she gets for walking out and wanting a divorce.

Got the 2012 1LT with rear-view camera option and the convince/compatibility package. It's non an RS, but still got those two options. I've been haggling over the phone and email with the internet manager and tonight he called me with an offer I couldn't refuse (I think he was tired of the daily emails I was sending him) and gave me $6,500 on my trade in (2004 Honda CRV)

My daughter is going to be so excited when I pick her up from school tomorrow. This is the only picture I have, but will have to get some sharp ones like you guys post.

MSRP was $28,500 and he said they would do it for $25,000. So factor in the $6,500 for the trade and I was at $18,500. After taxes, fees, etc. It was like $20,071 out the door (I only remember the 71 because that's the year I was born ... nice fate)

$350 a month payment. Loving it.

I guess my next question would be ... are the halo lights worth it?

Since my budget didn't allow for the RS package. I always thought I could add the halo lights afterward. Here's the other problem... there is no way I can install them myself. What might be a 3 hour job for most would turn into an 8 hour day for me and I don't have the patience.

So worth buying down the road and getting somebody to install them? As a Steelers fan I'd love me some yellow ones to go with the black car.
