One more for Skynet

When will we learn!

But seriously, I'm torn between geeking out over this and wanting to kill it with fire before it does the same to me after judgement day!

Yup, as you can see in the first vid AustinJames posted, it's been done before. I have no idea what the range on the mobile BigDog version is nor what it's using for the power source these days (in prior vids it sounded like it had some sort of small 2-stroke engine to power it). And the fact that these are prototypes that the public is being allowed to see probably means they're at least a generation or two ahead of that in reality

No ... then its time to just side step it. I noticed that the engineers had to ocasionally push it back towards the centre of the treadmill, so it doesn't look like it can do any sort of turn. Still cool though

Not if you read the books. In fact, the movie was slightly different because the troopers wore powered suits that would let them jump miles at a time, had mini-nukes and other stuff that were never in the movie.

Also, if you remember from the movie...they glassed the planet, though they used fighters or bombers to do that, most likely.

Sorry...geeking here...

Weren't he power suits in the third movie? Also they used the mini-nukes in the first movie, sans power suits of course.
