Carbon Fiber Insert Off Constraint

My dealer called and said the B92 Carbon Fiber Insert was taken off constraint today. I am glad I waited and didn't change it.

Your dealer should still be able to change it if your allocation was just picked up yesterday.

Edit: nevermind just saw your sig, it looks like it was picked up late last month when the constraint was in full effect.

I was just told the same thing by my dealer a short time ago this morning. Here's the twist, B92 (clear carbon fiber hood) can be now ordered, and it will either come off the assembly line or be dealer installed. But, DSW or DSX stripe packages can not be ordered with the B92 hood. It's either one, or the other, not both. For what it's worth.

I thought that the DSW (dark gray) stripe was available with the optional B92 hood insert, and that the DSX (black) stripe was available with the standard black hood insert.

Is the DSW stripe not available with the optional B92 hood insert? Under what circumstances can the DSW stripe be ordered?

Is the DSX stripe still available with the standard black hood insert?

....yes, initially that was the information as best as I understood concerning the ordering of CF hood, and I had DSW (grey stripe) picked along with B92. My guy called me this AM, said B92 now off constraint, will be available either off the line or dealer installed later on, but, DSW or DSX can not be ordered with B92 now (DSW grey stripe was the only stripe color available before with B92 as I recall). I told him go with the B92, and don't worry about the stripes, they can always be installed later. Let's see what other posts or information comes in the refute or substantiate this information which I received directly from my dealer. It's definetely new "news" for sure. I'm just the messenger....but things have been fluid with the production of the car, and dealers at times don't have the complete picture. Either way it's all good with me.

I think that the stripe issue proves that Chevrolet can't do anything right and you should cancel your ZL1 order and place an order for the 650 HP 2013 GT500, which, from what I've read in posts from some, is apparently likely to run a 1:02 Nurburgring lap time, a 0.37 second 0 to 60 MPH time, and a 2.97 second quarter mile time.

Yes I know he was I was just kidding his kidding .

But tbh it does seem like were all on a roller coaster here with some options being placed on constraint. I've been around long enough to know these things happen, so it's not a big deal for me.
