Shopping for '12 Camaro 2SS/RS

Visited a few dealers, still trying to get the pricing I want for the car. As it stands I'm looking for a white exterior/black interior 2SS/RS coupe with polished wheels.

I have $3500 to use in GM Discounts (GM Card $2,000, Loyal Customer $500, and something else was $1,000). I plan on putting maybe 1500 - 2000 additional down.

Questions:

1. Any dealers in NJ selling at or near invoice?
2. Is the Hurst Shifter option the same as buying directly from Hurst?
3. And since I can't find a dealer to let test drive, how is the stock handling of the car?
4. What suspension upgrades would be the first few to do?

This is my first American car btw. Previously coming from turbocharged 4bangers.

The camaro will be my DD. I do have another car to use for ice/snow conditions but its not as reliable.

if the $1000 is a private offer from GM you can not combine that with the $500 loyalty as I just found out last weekend when I bought mine. I was also told by the dealer that if you want the hurst short thow shifter it is NOT a dealer add on it has to come from GM with it and I would guess this is not one you would get direct from Hurst I believe it is a GM version but again this is a guess. I bought mine for $500 under MSRP but I'm on the opposite coast so just for extra info. Good luck with ur purchase I absolutely love mine and I have had lots of other cars too traded in my 04 Honda S2000 for the camaro and I don't regret it one bit.

That's great the hear. The $1000 discount is for owning a non-GM vehcile and something with Acura Financial Services. They confirmed it can be combined with the $500. I also have it in writing on a quote, so i'm pretty sure they have to honor it anyway.

Invoice looks like its 34,xxx for the car and they are selling for 37998. I feel like they could do much better. I'd settle for 35,750 plus the options i'm looking for.

unplugged, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
