2001 gmc jimmy help asap
It wont start. It has fire and fuel. She was driving it one day and parked it and the next day it wouldnt start. She says that a few days before this when she would start out driving it felt like it was just low on power but would be fine after she got going. We even sprayed a little starting fluid in it and it wouldnt even studder or try to start. checked all fuses and were ok. The fuel pump is working not sure of preasure but we pulled the feul line at top of motor and it was spraying out of it when we turned it on.
codes 141: Heater Performance Bank 1 Sensor 2 172:Fuel Trim System Rich Bank 1 175:Fuel Trim System Rich Bank 2 300:Engine Misfire Detected 410:Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System Ok well I decided to test the fuel pressure. It went right to 60pds but dropped off faster than you can count 60-0. Every time I turned the key it went to 60 but only for like a sec and went down to 0. Fuel pressure regulator or could it still be the fuel pump if the check valve is bad? |

probly the fuel pressure regulator or the plastic fuel lines inside the upper plenum, they like to crack and blow fuel all over inside

WEll, I replaced all the spark plugs then fuel filter and the dropped the tank and replaced the fuel pump. Shot some ether in there and it still wouldnt start..........spent 5hrs and 250 bucks and no progress..Started thinking and wondered if it was something to do with the security system. Looked it up on line and someone said the wires connected at the key hole could be spliced and bypassed so I pulled the collum cover off and low and behold a yellow wire looked as though it was cut. Somb*tch....................Spliced it back together and as soon as I turned the key it started up and idled like nothin ever happened.....................
