Woman taking Honda to court over false advertising!

Heather Peters of Los Angeles is taking a novel approach to addressing her legal grievances against Honda for what she says are the fuel economy shortcomings of her Civic Hybrid. She says she is opting out of a proposed class-action lawsuit settlement and instead is suing the automaker for up to $10,000 in small claims court.

A hearing on the matter is set for next Tuesday in Torrance, Calif.

It should be noted that the Civic Hybrid was the subject of a recall for its powertrain that more or less negated the fuel efficiency of the hybrid system. That's what she's suing about.
