I didn't even know he was still alive. For some reason I thought he had passed on.

Yeah, me too. If ya' hadn't posted this notice of his birthday, I could've sworn that he had died a few years back. Of course, hmm, he may have risen from the dead. Has anyone checked to see whether he casts a reflexion in a mirror?

I remember watching 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea when I was a kid and I thought that it was his son Michael Douglas in that movie they look SO much alike .

I hear ya!

On a side note, about a month or so ago I once again watched the early 80's movie, "The Final Countdown" where he played the skipper of the U.S.S. Nimitz. If you guys haven't seen it, it's worth taking a look. The story is good and the flying scenes were filmed wonderfully!
