BRZ beats 458's Center Gravity

The Subaru Brz's center of gravity is lower than a Ferrari 458 Italias and has an inertia lower than a porsche Cayman S. Also this blue is beautiful on this car... Why does GM continue to make excuse after excuse as to why they cant make blue Camaros but every other manufacturer does it?

I can tell by your posts that you really like this car alot. I'm not sure if this car will be worth trading in your Camaro for though to be honest with you. The Camaro looks better I think and also the Camaro will hold its value better than this car since its a well known car the BRZ & F-RS are new cars that may or may not take off or sell well. Yeah the BRZ is lighter than a Camaro but thats about all it really will have on it. I think this might be a good secondary sports car but not a car to have as an only sports car. Also I think the Hyundai Genesis Coupe will give this car a run for its money with more power eventually and also Honda is going to debut their new NSX in January next month at the Detroit Auto Show thats the one I would look into before this car in my opinon when it comes to imports. A new Mazda RX7 or RX8 could be around the corner in the next couple years too.

Idk man this car weighs 1,000 POUNDS LIGHTER than the Camaro! Performance wise this car will honestly walk all over the V6 Camaro. It may not be as fast in a straight line in stock form but it will beat it out in everything else. Not to mention once you start modding this thing will have way more potential and a much better aftermarket. The V6s werent exactly designed by GM with the best aftermarket intentions in mind, hence why we still dont have a really good turbo kit out yet. You can bet this car is going to be built with modding in mind, they know a lot of buyers will not be keeping it stock.

Sure the Camaro looks better, but other than that I'm honestly having a hard time coming up with reasons why it would be better to own a Camaro V6 over this.

Why doesn't Imperial Blue Metallic count?

The thing that excites me so much about this car is that it's basically, from what it seems without getting a test drive obviously, a Lotus for a third the price. If this car is as fun as they say, I'm down. It's not a power car and I know that. Like EVERY review has said, it's not made for that. It's fun, not fast. If I lived in say Houston or Dallas, this car wouldn't even be a choice. But I live on the edge of the Texas hill country. I go 30 minutes out of down and there are FUN twisty back roads. Hell, some of the main roads are twisty and fun. And I can get my hockey bag in this car - can't do that in a lotus.

Obviously there's a lot we don't know about this thing yet and we wont know till may. But if everything turns out like it's supposed to, I'm doing it.

And the NSX is supposed to be a hybrid. Bleh.

I like this car too. The more I read about it the more I like it.

Would I trade in my Camaro for it? No. I love my Camaro, but I would like this as a 2nd car/track toy. It's more manly than a Miata (even though a Miata is a great driving car).

InsideLine compared the driving experience to being as similar as a Porsche Cayman's, that's a huge statement!

If it drives anything like my friend's 1993 Mazda RX-7 then I will be all over it!

What I really like is that the BRZ/FR-S is bringing this level of performance into a very affordable range. I hope that this will catch the attention of other manufacturers and they will follow. I would love to see Chevy make a small RWD, turbo 4 car below the Camaro. Maybe bring back the Nova name for it?

Looks real cool. Had a subaru before and they are tons of fun. The low CG, engine and layout should make it a blast. Take it on a mountain road ! I like my SS, but the speed limit isn't 160mph and roads aren't designed for that either. This car will probably get 30mpg at 75mph, but be tons of fun from 0-60. Improvements rock. I don't see a 2600lb fun-machine from GM yet, but at least they got Corvettes AND Camaros, as opposed to some manufacturers that just have one "sports car".

Toyota Supras are great heritage.

These Subaru, Toyota, and Scion FT-86 cars seem pretty impressive. If I was interested in buying one of these cars, I'd wait to see if a turbo version is released (possibly in a year or two). I don't know why the BRZ isn't offered with a turbo, especially considering all of Subaru's performance cars today are turbocharged.

Subaru stated they wouldn't be able to mount the turbo where they traditionally put it. so we may se one in STI form but we will have to wait.

That car is going to be a hell of a lot of fun. Especially once aftermarket suspension and performance parts start coming out. I predict the BRZ is going to be everywhere at SEMA 2012.

plus 1... This car will be an HPDE and spec class monster more so than the miata. American mainstream market won't get it because it wasn't designed for the dragstrip but for those roadrace track rats who turn left and right it will be a great car.

Too dark in my opinion. Need a nice flashy blue, maybe a few shades darker than the aqua blue they used to have would be perfect.
