Road Rage

There was an incident in Scottsdale a couple weeks ago that's turned out pretty weird. Two middle age guys got into it (not criminal types), then pulled into a parking lot. One goes up to others car, and the guy inside shoots him...Dead. Guy gets arrested. Turns out he's been involved in two other incidents this year.
So friday the cops....let him go and drop charges. They say as part of the Castle Doctrine he was allowed to do it. Like if someone breaks into your house..well now you can do it in your car.
I'm thinking, ..guy couldn't put his window up...or drive away? To me this is kind of scary . You could be walking through a parking lot, dude can shoot you , and then tell the police you came up and threatened him in his car.

in regards to the law, the first person to get out of there car in a road rage situation is the one at fault. The other person is able to claim self defense.

No such thing as a fair fight. People just pull out guns. This is why I no longer scream at people when they cut me off. I will just get shot

Makes you think twice about committing road rage no matter how pissed YOU are, or how wrong the OTHER guy was HUH? People with guns are the reason why criminals soometimes think twice too.

I in no way am condoning road rage or criminal activity, but the thought of possibly being shot makes one think twice, so tell me why we should not be allowed to carry, legally of course.

Is it just me or did no one hone in on the fact that the poster of this thread stated the guy was involved in two other prior incidents? What were those incidents?

Once, I honked at a guy (just a little beep beep, not laying on the horn) for cutting me off as I was taking an exit. When we were stopped at the light, he got out of his car and started walking towards mine... I just about peed my pants thinking I was about to get shot, then he comes up and says "sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off"... Whew!

I'm sure there's more to the story... The dude that got shot probably punched the guy or made a "menacing" gesture towards the shooter. Usually a case like this goes to a Grand Jury. If I was in "fear for my life" I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing.

All that was reported is that he was involved in two other incidents earlier this year. Obviously they didn't end up in death, but it makes one wonder when one guy is involved in 3 incidents in a year.
