Graphics card question... AMD vs nVidia

I'm trying to decide which graphics card to go with for my new rig (probably early next year). I've always had nVidia cards in current and past rigs, but I'm eyeing the new AMD 6950 right now as well for it's apparently good price to performance ratio....

So i think right now the choice is between an AMD 6950 or an nVidia 570 gtx.. my main question though, the nVidia cards have that Physx tech, does AMD have something similar? Just wondering if not having Physx would put me at a disadvantage on some games...

I think AMD has something similar, obviously just a different name. I got to lean towards the nvidia team though. I had one bad exp. with AMD and never had one with nvidia.

I just went with a GeForce 9500. Nothing too crazy. I got it to play Star Wars: TOR.

I will never own an AMD product.

I'm old school, and at one time they really sucked as a company. I've never forgiven them for the crap they used to put out.
