G8 owner who possibly might switch

Hey guys,

I currently own a 2008 IOM fully loaded G8 GT. 58xxx miles.

I bought the G8 last year since I used the car for work. Now i picked up a daily driver for work and crappy weather and thinking of making the swap to a slightly used 2ss.

Anything to look for or suggestions would be great.

Steveo, Since you are getting a SS....find yourself a reputable tuner and UNLEASH THE BEAST...of all the people in the Camaro Club I'm in.....I don't know of a single person that has any problems at all.....oh and btw....Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Thanks for the welcomes.

I would love to tune the beast once I get it but i really would like to keep the bumper to bumper warranty. I didn't start modding my G8 until that was gone.

Although I did not have any issues its still nice to have a warranty on a $30k vehicle.

Intake and exhaust will definitely happen tho.

Juiced I see you are located in IL what part? Checking your website out now and haven't found an address.

Any incentives anyone knows about besides the interest rate on the 11's? I'm thinking I want a 2012 45th anniversary.

Steve, I made the switch from a G8 gt and can tell you that there are a few things i really missed about the G8. the camaros trunk is alot smaller than the G8 and it is like a game of tetris trying to get a decent amount of gear back there. Also the back seat is decent size however leg room is non existant(not that any camaro ever had any) and head room isnt as abundant. the seats are alot narrower as well and lastly for me the visability is greatly reduced.

My 94 Z28 I had back in highschool I could at least fit someone behind me. I dont know if I just sat too far back when i went on a test drive but the seat was as far back as it could go.

trunk space and backseat aren't too important since i will have the other vehicle when I need to take stuff places or drive people.

I've just always loved camaro's, if I pull the trigger and get one I hope i dont regret it.

you should call hertz and rent one for a day if you have the funds. If not, then just talk to the dealership, we actually had ours for a whole weekend before we bought it. and you'll love it, no worries. It's a great car!

The G8 which is a great car is just getting old to me right now. I hate the price of aftermarket parts on it. I know the camaro's aftermarket is expensive too but since they are still making the car I see the prices going down. I want to see what id be offered trade in wise but dont know what they would say about the headers. I don't want to take them off if im not even close to what I want for it.

What you guys think? How will headers effect there price? I will take the headers off if I trade it in, I just dont want to do the work to not get what I want then have to put them back on. ITS COLD HERE! lol
