Hi From Upstate NY

Hi Camaro5 Family. I have been lurking for months since I don't yet own a Camaro and I must say everyone on here is incredibly helpful to each other. I sense an enormous amount of comaraderie which is very refreshing.

Anyway, my Camaro purchase is planned for Spring 2012. It took me a while to get the wife on board! Since I recently got her a BMW, it is now my turn, and I have yet to find a reasonably priced sport/muscle car even close to as aesthetically pleasing as the Camaro. I am sortof holding out for the ZL1 but that will all depend on the pricing. If it goes beyond the low 50's then it is SS for me. Can't wait to get behind the wheel of this amazing car. I've been dreaming about it for years, ever since they were first announced. Finally get to make it happen.

PS - To all you C1-5 owners....I LOVE YOUR CARS!

Noodle SS, Welcome to the club!! Used to live in Essex County,N.Y.Have been here in SW Florida now since '89 Have a '11 SS/RS convertible and I love it. If there is any thing you need help with before you buy your 2012 I am always on.See Ya,Tonytahoe.--

Thanks everyone. I can't wait until next spring when this all becomes reality. I thought about going now, fully expecting the ZL1 to be a tad bit out of reach, but with an Upstate, NY Winter on the way... It just doesn't make sense to order and park the car for the next 6 months. At least it will give me a bit more time to see where exactly the ZL1 falls.

Vinman - I will look into Upstate C5. Thanks for the info.

Where in NY are you from? I'm from "upstate" too but you've probably never heard of any of these places ... born in Little Falls, school in Van Hornesville and Dolgeville - still have family in Mohawk, Utica and Richfield Springs. I love visiting every now and again but life there was just not for me! LOL

I am in Rochester. I have heard of most of those places. My wife is from Utica so we are there generally once a month or so visiting.

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
