Cars and Coffee v. 9.10 *Acid Rain edition*

...Or at least you'd think we had acid rain as quickly as the cars scrambled when it began to sprinkle. It figures that the weekend I get out early from work and get to Cars and Coffee super early the weather is unusually crummy for So Cal summer. The clouds also seemed to keep most of the bad apples away and most cars. It was a pretty quiet day at Cars and Coffee. A bummer for the Volkswagen club who chose that day to meet at Cars and Coffee and hold a rally.

Since I arrived super early I stood by the entrance with the organizers and greeted and directed people on where to park. I only seemed to really piss off a Pontiac G5 driver when I told him to park his car in the Spectator lot. He took off pretty mad. Then there was the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP driver who scorned us as he drove in quick and peeled his tires. Don't know what his deal was but he was going too fast for us to really stop him. There was also Mr. Mystic Cobra on black HRE's who always acts like a douche. This time the cop saw him as he got sideways leaving and chased him down. Don't really know what happened after that though. Other than these guys the show was pretty mellow. Only notables being a very unique Ferrari GTO, a Spyker LM85, a Brown Diablo, Carrera GT, a Bentley Continental Flying Spur with a Aqua/yellow/cream interior and some special VW's.

Nevertheless here are this weeks picks of the pics:

Douche of the week:

He felt the need to squeal his tires in front of the organizers and then stood like that posing in front of his car.

This phenomenon isn't unique to C&C, these guys are everywhere. I just can't wrap my head around it though. How can you roll up and park next to a Porsche 550 Spyder in your 7 year old Pontiac Gran Prix and feel good about yourself? And good enough to post up next to it like you need to guard it. I mean, did one single person even stop and talk to him about his dope GTP? What is the point?

Can you guys not physically block the entrance (rope, chain, cones) to the show lot and force people to come to a stop and be admitted or turned away?

"LANDY-MATIC"...an amalgom of Dick Landy and the Ramchargers' CandyMatic nickname...cool! Dodge's two top NHRA teams, back in the day...

The GP owner? Surely he pronounces the second word of his ride, phonetically, and matches that word, spiritually...PRICKS.

The M3 with the orange accents and the yellow M3 look sweet! Never seen those color combos on an M3 before. I am thinking about going next weekend, I haven't been in awhile.

Just out of curiosity, what's the criteria to be in the "show" area?

The basic criteria is something you wouldn't see every day. Something that can stand on its own in any other car show. You shouldn't really drive in if it's something that you can go to your local dealer and buy something similar.

that's sorta close to me, I'd like to bring my custom full size chevy truck when it's done, certainly can't hang with a lambo, but, it's definitely unique! =)

I'm planning on attending cars an coffee this Saturday. Where is the best place to park if you are attending as a spectator?
