My 2yr Old Rig

Wow, only just now found this section of the forum so thought I'd throw my current (but old) gamer. I'm pretty patient and only bought parts when I found a deal, so overall I think this cost around $600 - $700.

Wonder if this will play BF3. Not too well I imagine. With all settings in BF2 on high this was only getting around 75FPS.

I can't tell what kind of processor your running, but I'd wager almost that you'd need to upgrade the CPU/Video to make any kind of real effort with BF3.... I mean, I'm running a single ATI 5870....on a i7 quad core....and about to look into upgrading it in the next 2 months..

SLI 9600? You should be fine to run it on medium settings.

You could upgrade your GPU to get some sweet gfx and DX11. Most newer cards are better than your sli setup. But I did the same thing a few years ago, i was on a budget and only bought the stuff on sale. Now Im a bit more upgraded and love it! AMD 6970
