Anybody have a Wii?

I just picked up my first one this weekend, the red 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. and I am new to the 'Wii experience' if anybody here has one any good game recommendations, I am a long time Nintendo fan, of course I am getting the Metroid games and such but up for any other ideas. also if any of you want to play or whatever with me my ID number is: 3965 9659 7062 0084

super smash brothers brawl, New supermario bros., mario kart wii, pretty much any of the games that nintendo makes.... plus you can go to the wii store and buy points and download all the old school games from sega, nintendo, SNES, 64, neogeo, turbografix16, etc... I like the wii almost as much as my kids do.

I've had mine since day one! Don't know what kind of games you are into, but I'm sure you know not to expect all the bad-a$$ games that the other consoles have.

I'd recommend The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Another game I liked a lot was Battalion Wars 2. Recently, however, my g/f and I started playing the Michael Jackson game.

EDIT: Of course, I forgot to mention Mario Kart Wii. That game will have you either laughing or cussing at the TV when playing online. Stupid hackers...

well being that the Wii I have is the 'Mario anniversary' one it has NEW Super Mario Bros Wii with it (as well as Wii Sports). I know it will not have the same types of games on PS3 or 360 (I have both of them), but there are a lot of good games, as for kinds I like I like all kinds, not a big sports game fan but I DO like racing games. I DO love that you can buy the old Nintendo and some Sega etc cartridge based games as well as 100% backwards compatibility with the Game cube and its memory cards

I got a Wii. Haven't played it in over a year as I refuse to buy games for it. The only good games worth playing imo are those made by Nintendo and they never reduce the prices of their games. I refuse to pay new game prices for games that have been out for a long time especially all the other software companies start to reduce their prices after a few months.

Let's see here, most of the stuff recommended already is good to awesome. I'll throw something in that hasn't been mentioned:

Goldeneye 007, a re-invision of the classic Goldeneye with Daniel Craig and what is take would be on it!

Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess, is now an amazing $20, I also need to get.

Pick up some Wii cards and go apeshit on the Virtual Console if you're a fan of playing games for the NES/SNES/Genesis!

I use mine mostly for fitness games, some of them coupled with the Wii Fit board.

My new favorite is Just Dance 2

My g/f bought that game as well! Whenever she wants to play that game, she says, "Ok, I need to earn sweat points"

If I can get all the dust off of my Mario Kart Wii game, I would definitely join an online race! It's been a while since I played that game though...

Big +1 for Mario Kart tournaments!! I will have to look up my friend code and post it.

I'm a big fan of the Metroid games, I have all three Primes (3 is too easy IMO) and Other M.

I also recommend Fire Emblem if you like turn based RPGs.

Some games that I liked for the Wii that haven't been mentioned yet:

Punch Out! (updated version of Mike Tyson's Punch Out)

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 (although the new one, "The Masters", might be better, just haven't played it yet)

House of the Dead Overkill (a rail shooter that should not be played with children present due to the profane language and sexual content)

Super Paper Mario (another Mario game that is fun, but has a lot of reading of text for the story involved, got kind of annoying actually, but still a good game)

No More Heroes (kind of a light sword/martial arts game, but not in the same way as Street Fighter 2 or Soul Caliber, not sure how to describe it though)
