I prefer the GMC just in the looks department alone. We have a 2010 Silverado LTZ crew 4x4 Z71 and it is a great truck, love the handling, seats, ride and power we get from that truck.

With that said: I have not driven the F150 to compare it, as I do not like the styling of the F150 enough to even consider it. I have also NEVER liked the ride of Ford products in general: too floaty for me.

I like the f150 styling better. without some exterior mods the gmc/silverado's look generic imo

I don't really have an issue with the ride in the f150. Seems solid to me. it sems most manufacturers make a nice truck these days. a few years ago, the choice would have been much easier. (And I prefer the GMC over the chevy, like the grill better and on the all terrain packages there is no wood grain interior. They are the same exact truck though. LOL)

I didn't do much to my GMC other than the tint and bedliner/tonneau. It had the two-tone seats and nice wheels etc already so I didn't really want to mod it too much.

Thanks for the replies guys. Appreciate it. And as you can see, I like both trucks.

I'm a little confused. . . what are you looking for. It seems like you like your current truck. Why do you want a different one?

The current GMC truck model is nearing the end of its life so I would wait for the next model before you make the jump because the 2012 GMC is really no different then your last one and you will most likely want the new model once you start to see them on the road.

It's a bit different. New GMC has a sunroof, and 20"s. But I understand where you are coming from. The new bodystyle won't be here till 2013 I don't think.

UPDATE:

The new F150 came in.

Looking like $35,500 from a sticker of $43,385. Plus they would switch my step bars, exhaust, tonneau cover to my new truck for free. (The dealer has this truck listed for $37,500, but I worked a better number than that) And $29,000 trade for my current truck.

On the GMC I got a price of $40,000 from $48,110. And $32,000 for my 2010 F150. Plus 10% pff accessories and free install.

Since your trading a 5.0L F-150 in for another F-150 why not opt for the Ecoboost, or 6.2L for a different change of pace?

2010 f150 was 5.4. the 2011s have the 5.0. it's ecoboost or 5.0. I don't need/want the 6.2, and it's not available on the FX4 series.....
