Who here went from the '04-'06 GTO to the new Camaro?

As the thread title states, if you were a former GTO owner and went to the new Camaro, how do the two compare against each other? In terms of build quality, acceleration, handling? Or anything else you can think of. I'm a GTO owner and although I won't be getting rid of the car, I could see a new Camaro in the future. Definitely an SS with an M6.

I had an 04 M6 and an 06 M6 GTO. All in all very similar cars the biggest difference is obviously the Camaro is miles ahead in the HOTNESS department. GTO was and is a very nice car. It's bland looks and the expectations from GTO diehards really hurt it in my opinion. It's a great car, I've just been waiting for this Camaro for a very long time and Chevrolet hit a freaking grand slam with this puppy!

The camaro is a great car get plenty of looks. As for visability GTO, ride comfort GTO, ability to fit 4 adults in car GTO. *lol* The handling goes to Camaro and deff the looks. The trunk space well ya Camaro has more, but amazingly you cant fit big things in that tiny hole where the GTO opening was the size of trunk basicly lol. I realy miss my GTO and if I had to choose which one I think is bettter would go GTO. I also like the sleeper look.

I have both a 04 M6 GTO, mildly modded and a Freaked out 2010 Camaro SS - Turbo, I like them both alot and just cant get my self to get rid of the Goat, very nice car and I like the fact not many were built around 45,000 total for all three years, so you dont see many around, the Camaro is a beast, stock to stock the Camaro is a better handling car, suspension is much nicer and your getting the LS3. It sounds like you are doing the right thing, just add the Camaro to your stable so you can still play with Both!!
