Anyone have AAA?

Curious what any current members think about it? Been years since I was a member, but I think I would rather jump on the AAA train than try to buy one of those 400 spare tires for the SS.

It appears it would cost around 100 dollars a year for the (plus) membership level for me...not bad. There response time always seems to suck, but when they get there it is good stuff...

I have AAA for a very long time now, well over 10years and yes the response time usually isn't the greatest, but the wrecker services I've had come help me have been good.

I mostly have had to use them to come and let me in a vehicle, not a GM and so On-star.

I also called them for my nephew and a few friends, they never question helping out and I've never been charged. Also, back before the GPS the triptiks (maps) were awesome.

AAA is the shiz. They'll replace your battery, check the cables. Do yourself a favor. Get the platinum membership.

Any car, any time, any place. If you are a passenger in a car that needs service and the owner/driver does not have AAA and you do, go ahead and cal them. Win

I had it for the past 20 years and finally let it go this year. I never used the services and have towing on all three cars already so really no need for now.

I've had AAA for 3 years now. Only needed it once- Got a blowout in the Impala coming out of the Baltimore Md tunnel at 4:00 AM on I-95. Was sure nice to have.
I'm keeping triple A plus one of my extra SS tires and wheels in my trunk when I go on trips.

Yes, do don't want to be trying to change a tire on 95. I go through that tunnel everyday, twice.

AAA put my donut spare on by 4:45 AM. I was afraid to drive far on the Interstate with that Micky Mouse spare so I then had too find a tire store, which didn't open until 8:00 AM. In the future I'll be on my way in no time with a real full SS front tire and wheel. Also, I don't think many tire stores stock these Camaro tires even if you can make it to one.

I have roadside assistance through my insurance, and Onstar. No need for AAA. But I used to have them about 10 years ago, and had a blowout on I-5 near Tacoma, during rush hour. I was wearing a white dress, not gonna change the tire myself.... They were great.

Yea I picked it back up recently because I've only got one car that's got any factory coverage, the other two are projects. It saves money on hotels and other things, and is nice because it travels with me, not a specific car.
