Need Help Using Windows Live Movie Maker
So I play WoW, and I wanted to make a PvP video. So I downloaded FRAPS and started recording all my battleground footage, which was about 3 hours of footage.
FRAPS works just fine. It takes what I've recorded (Say 15 minutes of footage), and breaks it up into 4-5 minute videos. I now have about 25 videos I have to go through using Windows Live Movie Maker. Here is the problem I'm having: I load a video using Windows Live Movie Maker (WLMM), and begin to edit one video. Take the items I don't want out, and keep the stuff I want in the clip. Then save the "Project" and place it in another folder with the file type ".wlmp". I then rinse and repeat, going through all 25 "mini" clips until I have about 40ish saved projects in a new folder. I now want to take my edited saved projects and combine them into one movie, and start going through it again, compressing it again. WIMM will not save a video, it will just save as a project, and it wont combine projects. It's like all it does is save the work I've done on the video so far. And if i delete the original video, the "project" I've saved will not work anymore. I think in a nutshell that I'm trying to say is....... How can I take a Project, and turn it into its own video, delete the original video, and then combine all the projects together to make 1 complete video? Thanks for any and all info..... |

Something to consider is getting a decent video producing program. It's not free, but it will give you more options, and allow you to create a more professional product as well.
I got Powerdirector initially when I got my computer. I had a free (limited version) of it and upgraded to the full version. Wasn't that expensive. Did a pretty good job as well, and has enough features to be worthwhile. Since then, however, I went all out and bought Adobe CS5 Master Collection, so I'm using Premiere. Only go this route if you are doing a lot of video editing and have the money...it's pretty expensive. I needed it for that, desktop publishing and Photoshop, as well as creating PDF's with Acrobat. On a budget, Powerdirector is very good though, and gets top ratings for what it does. It costs 70 bucks, 100 bucks for the 64bit Ultra version.

As I mentioned, Powerdirector has a TRIAL version. I'm not sure exactly what that limits, but you might want to check it out and see if it will help you. And, the full version is cheap if you find it's useful (I did).
http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/t...oad_en_US.html Free usually means sucky. You get what you pay for, and for video editing, free generally means you can't do much.
