Are ther vert mufflers the same as the coupes?

Had my SLP LM IIs delivered today gonna install this weekend. Just wondered if I should go by the same cut directions as that for the couple, 1.75 inches from the weld mark?

I have been told from a rep at SLP that the LM II's fit... and they better, that's what I'm ordering!

Let us know how your install goes. I'm going to at least try to do mine myself too.

Did you do it yourself? I'm just curious, and if so was it tricky with the extra support bars?

I've never done something like that before, but I already have a reciprocating saw, so all I would need are some ramps... has to be cheaper than having done at a shop, and a good feeling of working on my car myself!

slp did it as part of a package , but I've done many other types on other car's myself. It should not be to hard since it's new [not full of rust] If you know someone with a lift it's a piece of cake, but you'll get it done with the ramps just a little harder.Don't forget measure twice and cut once you don't want to cut too much.

May want to give yourself an extra 1/2" to 1" on the cut, if you like the tips to extend a bit. A few others that have posted said they wished they gave themselves a bit more pipe. You can always take the extra off if it's too far out, but you can't add it back on if they're too short...

I cut mine 1.75" from the muffler weld on my 2010 L99 Coupe and on my 2011 L99 Vert and the fit is just fine.

Just installed a stock 2011 LS3 Coupe exhaust on my L99 Vert tonight. I cut the LS3 Coupe exhaust at 1.75" also. My SLP Loudmouth I has fit great on all three.
I do have to say the SLP Loudmouth sounds so much better with the stock LS3 exhaust than it did with the stock L99 Vert exhaust. The vert exhaust is just way to quiet and I assume more restrictive.

I picked up the LS3 exhaust here on Camaro5 for $100 (thanks Mike!) and I couldn't be happier. The swap was very straight forward.

If you want to see a comparison of the 2 exhausts side-by-side, take a look at this post. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138508

I installed my SLP Louthmouth II exhaust on the vert today (LS3). I had the same exhaust on my 2010 Camaro that had an L99. As you can see the mufflers are identcial. I also went with cuting 1.75 inches from the weld and it was fine.

Actually the tips on the vert mufflers extend out a little farther from the muffler than the L99 coupe mufflers did.

Blitz, would you get the same good feeling from working on someone else's car?
