Favorite books?

Yes, reading. That thing people used to do before television. I do a lot of reading and I've run out of books from my favorite authors. I like a lot of the great science fiction and old fantasy stuff like Orson Scott Card, J.R.R Tolkien and I've read all of Stephen Hawking's books. I've read every single one of Orson Scott Card's Ender series and I would recommend them to anyone. He wrote another book called empire about possible civil war in the United States (fiction) in the near future that was REALLY good. What kind of books do you guys read and who is your favorite author? Any specific books you might recommend?

One of my favorites is "Life of Pi". If you want an easy read and something that makes you think, I'd recommend it!

It's been so long since I've read non-medical related books that I can't remember what else was good.

For Whom the Bell Tolls is one of my all time favorites. I like most Hemmingway books. He was a real man's man.

Robert Jordan - Wheel of Time series
David Brin - Uplift series
Neal Stephenson - Snow Crash, Cryptonomicon

I have many other books I've read and loved, but at the moment, these have been my favorite authors for Fantasy, Science Fiction and well...Stephenson's books are kind of their own category of awesomeness.

Really enjoyed The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins

and pretty much anything by Noam Chomsky is solid gold.

I was also a really big Tom Clancy fan back in the day. Broke my arm when I was 14 and basically read a book a day for a few weeks haha. I really liked Angels and Demons, more than DaVinci Code, but both were pretty good.
