Age Group of Future ZL1 Owners?
Hello folks!
I would love to one day own this magnificent beast, but a 556 HP car like this maybe too much car for a 21 year old like me. I was wondering, if you are purchasing this car, how old are you? Do you think GM targeted his vehicle for a certain age group?

They are targeting anyone with the purchasing power.

True, but they defiitely have target income brackets, and unless you are a professional athelete, lottery winner, entrepenuer or have a platinum spoon, those generally are going to be mid to high level careers, and the age that comes with it. Insurance will play a key here as well. This is not absolute, but I think it is a good rule of thumb. I would not want to see the insurance premium for a single, 21 year old male. *shudder*

People with $$$$$$$$ are the targets, and people that purchase their wants; not needs.

33 and it'll be a few years, probably.
While I default to someone your age as generally not being as responsible as someone in their later 20s, I won't say there aren't exceptions and because I don't know you I won't pass judgement. Because you're even posting something like this pushes me more toward thinking you're on the more responsible side of things. All I have to say is that driving is not a right. When you're on the road, you are not the only one you're responsible for. Anytime someone thinks about driving spirited"ly" on the street better consider the consequences of those actions and think about the people those consequences can effect. How would you feel if some jerk was screwing around and plowed their car into the side of your mother's or sister's car, killing or paralysing them? If someone doesn't have the capacity to think about a situation like that, they're not even equipped to drive ANY car, let alone something like ZL1. JMVHO. Maybe consider LT/LS or SS before jumping in, head-first. Whatever direction you decide, just be responsible and safe

Few years here as well.......my 1LT will be paid off in time for the alpha platform to be released. But if I pay the car off earlier than that, then I might just jump to the ZL1 by trading my current ride in.
But I rather not give my 5th gen away, maybe I will give to Dad so he can drive around in it in retirement

46; I plan on keeping my 2010 SS/RS ABM as well unless they announce Aqua Blue Metallic for the ZL1 (which I'm not counting on).

21 right now, if I do go for it, It won't be until I'm around 23/24. Probably going to hold off for a Z28, but its up in the air at this point.

I'd say that the main age range will be the 35-55 age range. They have all the money!

GM is targeting whoever can afford it.
I'm a "likely" ZL1 owner (either that or a C7 Corvette) and I just turned 44 in January.

27 in a few months, I currently own two camaro's (2001 SS and 1987) that I will be selling this summer along with my 2009 Harley Cross Bones and Polaris four wheeler. I'm selling all my toys so I can drop a big down payment, I've never owned a new Camaro but have owned one since I could drive. It is time! and this is the car!
