tech forum actions by sponsors

I know I'm fairly new here but I just wanted to state an opinion.

The hocking of vendor parts and supplies in the technical forums is out of control. You ask a general question and get a catalog posted that has little to nothing to do with what you asked.

I've honestly never seen this condoned before on any other message board. I've got no issues with someone saying they have an option for you to look at and posting a link to their sale thread in the marketplace, but the constant "buy our stuff" posts in the tech areas needs to be stopped. There is at least one vendor here that is very guilty of doing this over and over.

I understand the vendors help this place keep running and they are a great asset to the community but some of the posts are bordering on spam.

As a sponsoring vendor, I couldn't agree more. There are a handful of sponsors that have resorted to overly aggressive posting tactics including spamming the forum with canned posts (posts is putting it nicely, wall of text would be a better description) that are often not even relevant to the discussion. It is not helpful to the customers/community and I believe it turns people off to Camaro5 and those vendors.
