When I worked at General Dynamics, we made rounds like that. IIRC, they were 40mm, and for a belt fed "machine gun". They were airburst, and it was a two man outfit. I'll google it and see if I can find it.

Here it is

So, it looks like you can have your airburst in standard or magnum packages, lol.

That thing is pretty hot....but really wouldn't work for home defence.....would take to long to AQUIRE its target....a pump 12 ga. shotgun would be a lot more useful in the home!

Good for the military, Uncle Sam has deep pockets. Each round probably cost a thousand dollars.

+1; That was what I was thinking. I don't think I want to shoot a airburst round off in my house!

not to mention....the sound of a shell being jacked into the chamber of a shotgun is an unmistakable sound.....and most THEIVES which have entered you home, especially those that think you not home, would RUN!!!

Well...I did say home DEFENSE. Always use the appropriate tool. A shotgun for inside, but this weapon would be great for taking out those 20-30 people surrounding you in your house.

Not that I'd ever want to be in that situation...

Oh...and don't forget how effective this would be during the Zombie Apocalypse...
